Hi, I'm Namiko Suzuki.
I am a NYC based Japanese translator.
After working several years in Japan, I moved to the United States to pursue my career in the fashion industry. Later, I landed an opportunity working at a creative agency, paving an invaluable understanding of advertising. While at the creative agency, I took a few projects translating artists’ press materials for the Japanese market. Since then, my clientele grew from a number of creatives to start up companies.
Over the course of time, my clients have expanded from New York City based artists and companies to businesses from different cities in the United States and the world: California, Tokyo, Taipei, London and more.
Because of the global aspect of my work, curation is an essential element of every translation and localization project I do. Furthermore, I have detailed how I value my work as a freelancer translator.
Currently, I offer English to Japanese localization and translation as well as Japanese to English translation services.
In my spare time, I enjoy biking, camping, brewing my coffee in the loving company of my cats. I also play synth in the band called The Zolephants.
Finally, I would like to thank you for visiting my website. Either you are looking for a local NYC based Japanese translator or you like what you see on my portfolio page, please contact me.
Let’s start the conversation!
